Circle Bishops Wood Hospital is a 42 bedded acute care unit, built within the grounds of Mount Vernon Hospital, working in partnership with the NHS. The specialist facilities available at Mount Vernon, combined with the latest in technology and on-site support services, enable our consultants to undertake a wide range of procedures from routine investigations to complex surgery. The team works with the Mount Vernon Cancer Network to offer treatment for a wide range of cancers. Orthopaedics is another area of focus, with specialists available for consultation each day across a full range of musculoskeletal conditions. Our consultants work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, supported by our in-house physiotherapists and imaging department. There is a varied menu and we can cater for most dietary requirements with a few days notice. Between 9 am and 7:30pm, the chef is available to discuss any special requests, although a few hours notice may be necessary. Visitors are welcome to dine either with the patient they are visiting or in the restaurant. Cold snacks, such as sandwiches, can be ordered at any time of the day or night. There is of course immediate access to nursing support via a call system. All rooms are supplied with piped oxygen and suction.
